Amsterdam, Netherlands (29 Aug. 2018) – Global attractions industry professionals will gather in Amsterdam, Netherlands, 25-27 Sept. 2018, to learn from leisure and entertainment industry experts during Euro Attractions Show (EAS) 2018. The conference, which takes place at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, is owned and produced by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
Beginning 25 Sept., EAS 2018 participants can take part in more than 100 hours of education sessions, workshops, and presentations covering a wide range of subjects during this year’s EAS 2018 Conference Programme. Attendees can choose from seven different seminar tracks, which include guest experience, digital, revenue, global challenges, marketing, and design. New this year, EAS debuts an education track focused on local challenges facing the saturated tourism market in Amsterdam.
Attendees are eligible to receive eight (8) credit hours toward IAAPA Certification, the official mark of professional achievement in the global attractions industry.
Please note: General education sessions are included with registration for IAAPA members. Nonmembers require an additional fee.
In-depth Learning and Multi-Day Offerings
In addition to 17 general education sessions led by industry leaders, EAS 2018 attendees can also participate in various in-depth learning programs and events, including:
IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers at Efteling
Taking place 21-24 Sept. at Efteling, this three-day attractions industry management development course offers attendees the opportunity to learn about finance, operations and safety, marketing and communications, revenue operations, human resources, and leadership. Participants present throughout all sessions earn 16 credit hours toward IAAPA Certification.
IAAPA Safety Institute
On 24 Sept., participants will learn the latest information and updates on safety standards. During this seminar, respected safety experts will share critical and relevant information regarding standards, norms, ride protocols, accessibility issues, employee safety concerns, and compliance-related matters.
This program is eligible for credit toward IAAPA Certification. Participants earn four (4) credit hours toward IAAPA Certification.
FEC / Small Park / Indoor Playground Day
On 24 Sept., this “conference within a conference,” focused exclusively on operators of family entertainment centers (FECs) and indoor play centers, is a full day of seminars, discussions, and speakers dedicated to indoor playgrounds, mini-golf centres, laser games, and bowling centres.
Animal Welfare Forum
On 24 Sept., the Animal Welfare: Trends, Issues, and Strategies Forum, open exclusively to IAAPA members, will update attendees about the issues, perceptions, and trends facing attractions and facilities with animals in their care.
Lunch and Learn: “Let’s Talk About Trends”
During this session on 25 Sept., a task force consisting of professionals from different fields, will share the outcome of an analysis conducted on the current state of the attractions industry.
Lunch and Learn: “Train and Motivate Your Staff to Deliver Outstanding Guest
Experiences”
During this session on 26 Sept., attendees will learn new ways to interact with their team and gain fresh insight and perspectives for managing a team.
Water Park Forum
On 27 Sept., this seminar, designed specifically for water park owners, designers, and manufacturers, explores new water park developments across Europe. Attendees will learn new ideas to increase revenues, embrace the combination of safety and design, and how to fulfill customer’s expectations in design and operations.
Halloween and Haunted Events Forum at Walibi Holland
On 27 Sept., this event offers attendees a backstage tour during the preparation of Walibi Holland’s award-winning “Halloween Fright Nights.” Participants will learn about the development, design, and marketing of a Halloween event for facilities of all sizes.
