For more than 30 years, Future Kid Entertainment and Real Estate Company has welcomed millions of guests through its attractions’ doors, inviting families to spend quality time together while having fun. Ahmad AlKhaled, Future Kid’s head of development, says the company’s mission is to create an opportunity for friends and family to bond through safe and engaging entertainment, while also inspiring kids of all ages.
“We believe our attractions are unique in terms of variety, location, and space,” he says. “Each location has a different assortment of games and attractions, and since we have 14 branches, they are easily accessible for all people living in Kuwait.”
Starting with the opening of its first family entertainment center (FEC) three decades ago in Muthanna Complex in Kuwait City, Kuwait, Future Kid has grown through the years to develop more FECs, located in malls and shopping centers, to entertain families across the country. The leisure and entertainment group also owns and operates a water park, Cartoon Network World indoor theme park, Casper’s Scare School, and Discovery, its newest location, in Kuwait, as well as Happy Land in Saudi Arabia.
AlKhaled says more than 2 million guests visit Future Kid’s attractions each year, and its FECs feature a range of interactive entertainment offerings, including redemption, video, and table games; rides; laser tag; bowling; trampolines; and virtual reality (VR) experiences.
“Guests are most excited about the collection of games that we offer in each specific location,” AlKhaled says. “We also have a wide variety of redemption games to choose from, and once they start collecting tickets, they get excited to see the gifts that we offer. We try to create unique events/competitions. Our latest one before the pandemic was whoever collects the most tickets in a certain period of time would win prizes up to $50,000.”
Currently, the water park, which is one of Kuwait’s largest, and Cartoon Network World are both in redevelopment.
AlKhaled says Future Kid Entertainment and Real Estate Company became a member of IAAPA to learn the newest market trends and share experiences with like-minded business owners.
“The main reason we joined IAAPA is to benefit from the huge database of members that can help us when it comes to redeveloping our branches, as well as keeping up to date with the latest trends and news from vendors,” he says.
