Latin America’s Biggest Ferris Wheel Opening in Brazil
Brazil’s vibrant city of São Paulo will soon have an enormous observation wheel to look up to. At 91 meters tall, the new São Paulo Wheel, opening this summer, will officially be the largest in Latin America, surpassing some of the tallest in the world. The company behind this massive undertaking hopes to delight millions of visitors a year with the wheel’s 42 observation cabins that hold up to 10 people each.
“It will be a landmark in the urban and touristic development of São Paulo, which will show the city from a privileged point of view, joining the urban landscape and the natural beauties of Pinheiros River and parks,” says Marcelo Mugnaini, CEO of São Paulo Big Wheel (SPBW). According to SPBW, the wheel has a unique design, specially created to integrate with the skyline and become a favorite tourist destination for the area.
Mexican Zoo Welcomes Two Baby Giraffes and Offers New Interactive Experience
As one of Mexico’s zoos with the largest group of giraffes, Zoológico Guadalajara recently welcomed two calves. The newborn giraffes are named Mwezi, which in Swahili means Moon, and Jua, meaning Sun in Swahili. Both calves are curious, often seen in their meadow running around, chasing each other.
Along with meeting the new additions to the giraffe family, guests can now get up close to these majestic animals. Part of the unique interactive experience includes feeding the giraffes, taking photos, and learning about the species and its behaviors.
