To kick off their first day at IAAPA Expo Europe, more than 80 attendees and exhibitors took part in Indoor Entertainment Day.
Starting with educational sessions, speakers highlighted the lessons learned from COVID-19 and discussed potential challenges in the upcoming months and how to meet them head on.
“The indoor play market in the U.K. is resilient and has exited COVID-19 stronger than it entered,” says Tom Filer with the Association of Indoor Play.
Indoor Entertainment Day continued in the afternoon at Lakeside, where attendees visited four attractions. Wipeout, an inflatable obstacle course inspired by the hit TV show, proved popular.
Immersive Gamebox, a hyper-immersive gaming experience that makes screen time a social activity, also captured the attention of attendees. Nickelodeon Adventure, a family entertainment center inspired by familiar Nickelodeon characters, gave attendees a look at how a strong IP can enhance the visitor experience. A visit to Puttshack rounded out the day, where attendees enjoyed time networking and playing a round of hi-tech mini-golf.
