POST TOUR DAY 2, RIO de JANEIRO:
The final day of the IAAPA Summit: Latin America, Caribbean took attendees to the Museum of Tomorrow, where they learned how today’s actions can affect global outcomes tomorrow. A midday stop at Aqua Rio gave participants an opportunity to learn more about marine life that calls the oceans surrounding South America home. The last stop on the tour took attendees high above Rio as they enjoyed the peak of Sugar Loaf Park, accessible only by two gondola rides. Dinner, drinks, and an amazing sunset awaited participants as they toasted as successful IAAPA Summit atop Sugar Loaf Park in the clouds.
POST TOUR DAY 1, RIO de JANEIRO:
The Post Tour began with a visit to one of the seven wonders of the modern world: Christ the Redeemer statue. Following, attendees enjoyed a ride and reception at Yup Star Rio, a 88-meter-high panoramic wheel that is one of the tallest observation wheels in Latin America.
SUMMIT DAY 3, IGUAZU, BRAZIL:
Learning about clean power production in Latin America took center stage on Day 3. Attendees went behind-the-scenes at the Itaipu hydroelectric plant, one of the world’s largest producer of renewable energy. The binational dam, located on the Parana River between Paraguay and Brazil, provides energy to both countries. Attendees were given special access to off-limits areas at the gigantic feat of engineering. IAAPA CEO and President Hal McEvoy and 2022 IAAPA Chairman Ken Whiting visited the memorial garden on the grounds of Itaipu Binacional to honor 1992 IAAPA Chairman Ted Crowell. Today, a tree grows in honor the late Disney executive’s visit to the site in 1995. Watch highlights from Brazil in the video above.
SUMMIT DAY 2, IGUAZU, BRAZIL:
Attendees spent time exploring natural attractions in Brazil. Meet the wildlife inside Parque das Aves, behold the waterfalls inside Iguacu National Park, and go for a boat ride with Macuco Safari. Watch highlights from Brazil in the video above.

The IAAPA Summit: Latin America, Caribbean kicked off Monday, April 25, in Iguazu, Brazil. Attendees made new connections, toured Blue Park water park, rode the new Yup Star Foz observation wheel that overlooks Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, and dined under the stars with live entertainment at Marco das Tres Fronteiras.
