Twelve months have passed since COVID-19 shut down most of Europe for the first time and changed the way we live and do business in an incomparable way.
Since then, IAAPA EMEA quickly changed and adapted to support our members in running your business. We implemented the workplace platform as an exchange group between members, we organized many live chats for interesting discussions on learnings and consequences of the situation, and we also distributed the Reopening Guidance document with recommendations on how to operate safely. This document was of extreme importance as it has proven to authorities that we have thorough and rigid hygiene measures and that we know how to operate safely. There is no known COVID-19 infection resulting from a visit to a theme park in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa!
Now is the moment for the IAAPA EMEA Team to launch a position paper outlining what we need as an industry to recover from this difficult time. With the help of our lobbying agency, Interel in Brussels, and the support of the IAAPA EMEA Government Relations Sub-Committee, and selected members, we have published “Restarting and Returning to Growth: IAAPA’s Recommendations for Post-COVID-19 Recovery.”
This paper released in March is aimed at politicians in Europe, but also for members to use in discussions with their authorities and local stakeholders, as it outlines the current challenges and the importance of our industry.
