From the Floor Innovations
Innovative new products are at the heart of the IAAPA Expo Europe trade show floor. That spirit comes alive in this series of video reports produced in Spain for the IAAPA News Hub.
- VR'S NEW WORLD
Vex Solutions’ free-roaming 4D games place players atop a 5kW vibrating floor, where the virtual environment features elevators providing the sensation of rising and sinking. In addition, haptic actuators embedded in vests worn by players simulate the touch of zombies and other characters. See an extended version of the product interview recorded on location at IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
- STANDING TALL
It talks, sings, and moves—featuring the face of visitors. The Giant is a new attraction standing 10 stories tall and covered with millions of LED pixels that effectively create a kinetic art gallery. By scanning the faces of visitors, guests are given the opportunity have the statue display their likeness. See The Giant for yourself by clicking the video above.
- NO MOUNTAIN NEEDED
The requirement for an alpine coaster to run on pure gravity alone is over. Wiegand Erlebnisberge GmbH showcased a new kind of alpine coaster featuring an electric vehicle, providing operators with flat terrain new options when looking to install the popular attraction. - SIMULATORS FOR ALL
DOF Robotics exhibited a compact simulator using VR (virtual reality) that coupled with custom content, can become an attraction at museums, science centers, family entertainment centers, and game rooms found at resort hotels. Click the video above for more information.
