Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Caribbean, will soon become one of two exclusive destinations served by Disney Cruise Line in The Bahamas. Welcoming guests for the first time in summer 2024, Lighthouse Point will unveil a colorful complex featuring a family water play area, an adult-only beach, and a themed kids’ club.
Located on the island of Eleuthera, roughly 125 kilometers east of Nassau, Lighthouse Point will offer facilities including a covered game pavilion, a volleyball court, premium cabanas for
rent, market-style dining options, and nature trails. Committed to conservation, the complex will source at least 90% of its electricity needs from an on-site solar system.
Designed in partnership with local artists, the new attraction will feature shell-resembling buildings, references to native folklore, and elements typical of Junkanoo parades. A Bahamian pavilion devoted to celebrating local culture will allow visitors to learn about the traditions and natural beauty of the archipelago.
