Innovation lurks around every corner of the IAAPA Expo trade show floor. "From the Floor" by IAAPA News is back with a look at select products and services. Funworld-TV managing editor Scott Fais gives you a front row seat to what's new across the show floor in Orlando in 2022. Eight innovations are presented in alphabetical order by manufacturer's name.
BCR: Bob’s Space Racers—booth 2615
The midway game is evolving to an attraction that creates memories and drives revenue—without the need for an attendant. As staffing shortages are expected to continue, BCR has developed a solution: an attendant-free set of games that guests can play (and operate) themselves. This segment presented by Connect & Go.
Condiment Cow—booth 3659
Hamburgers can mooooove on over to a new way to dispense condiments. The Condiment Cow is an “utter-ly” fun way to allow guests to top their burgers, dogs, and fries by squeezing a tube full of sauce. The device is easy to reload, while the serving tubes are low-drip. This segment presented by Connect & Go.
Extreme Engineering—booth 2600
Phil Wilson shares details on the company’s new Parkour Around course, where weekend warriors can soar using a revolutionary new harness. The product won an IAAPA Brass Ring for Best New Product Concept Award – Major Ride or Water Park Ride.
Flavour Blaster—booth 3556
It's a bubble full of flavor … that when it pops … food and beverages (F&B) take on a new appearance. Lorna Nelson from Flavour Blaster shares how this “cocktail blaster” will enhance the appearance, flavor, and aroma of F&B items. The device is quickly becoming a bartenders new best friend. This segment presented by Connect & Go.
Foam Master—booth 8010
Shoot. Aim. Fire! This goes against mom's house rules...in a good way. Foam Master produces a cannon that shoots foam, much like a rocket shoots fire on the way to the moon. Perfect for special events, like Mardi Gras, or a Halloween event, Foam Master can drawl a crowd (the entire IAAPA Content Team was present for this segment). Ben Young from Foam Master shows us how it's done. This segment presented by Connect & Go.
Hospitality Robots-booth 5545
With staffing shortages expected to continue, Justin Bryson with Hospitality Robots, knows how to fill the need: robots! The service ‘bots scoot to tables at restaurants delivering nosh, beverages, and even serving as hostesses. The personable scooters can be programed to avoid people, tables, and chairs … while they like to be petted? Watch to learn more. This segment presented by Connect & Go.
Skyline Attractions—booth 4415
Jeff Pike shares details on the company's revolutionary metal roller coaster track that uses no welding. The new weld-free track provides a solid foundation for a family thrill coaster. And it sparkles. The new Aurora lighting package is bolted right to the track. The LED panels make quite a statement.
Triotech—booth 5818
In November 2021, Triotech founder Ernest Yale showed From the Floor his latest attraction: Hyper Ride. While the concept was a fresh addition to the IAAPA Expo trade show floor last year, Hyper Ride was not yet complete with media, scenes, and targets. In 2022, Triotech built a complete ride on the trade show floor in just four days. Ready to go for a ride? Buckle up as Christian Martin is our host and shows what the ride can really do! This segment presented by Connect & Go.
