Together with Prof. Dr. Ing. S. Schuster, the inventor and patent holder of the principle of pneumatic wave generation, Wolfgang Teichmann and his engineers from Jmhof & Co. GmbH, Bad Nauheim, successfully commissioned the world's first pneumatic shaft system in Horumersiel in an outdoor swimming pool powered by seawater in the summer of 1968. Word of the innovation spread quickly in Europe, was enthusiastically taken up outside Europe and led to further innovative solutions in pool construction.
