Short biography

As the Product Safety Project Manager at the NVWA (Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority), specializing in the WAS (Commodities Act Decree on Attractions and Playground Equipment), my team and I are dedicated to ensuring the safe operation and use of attractions and playground equipment across the Netherlands. Our commitment involves conducting thorough inspections of these devices on a project basis, while also advancing the dissemination of knowledge, fostering innovation, and enhancing information sharing. At the NVWA, we hold a steadfast belief that products used or purchased by consumers must be inherently safe, free from any risks that could lead to injury or harm to health. As the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority, the NVWA is the market surveillance agency responsible for ensuring product safety, food safety, and animal health, among other crucial duties.
