Short biography

Laurens De Smedt, 30, has built a diverse career, especially within his family's business, ELAUT Group. After earning a Master's in Engineering from KU Leuven, he gained valuable leadership experience with BEST, a European student organisation. From there, he kick-started his career at AB InBev as a Global Management Trainee, growing into leadership and finance roles. In 2019, he made the jump to the family business and it has been quite the ride ever since! At ELAUT Group, a global leader in amusement games, Laurens has optimised business processes, spearheaded production, and founded a new digital company within the group, Livecadia. Currently leading Product Development, he looks forward to a bright future for our amusement industry.
