After listing many of the new attractions that Zamperla (Booth #2224) has been developing and announcing amid the pandemic, Michael Coleman, Zamperla’s sales manager for North America, said that they “signify the strength of our industry, the resilience, and the desire to keep pushing forward.” To further prove the point, he then revealed one of two additional rides that Zamperla announced at IAAPA Expo.
At 60 meters, the Zetta Swing is designed to be the tallest pendulum ride in the world. Coleman presented a video that showed it towering above the Statue of Liberty. He said that the ride experience would provide real flying and free-fall sensations with each swing. Zamperla will have both 16-passenger and side-by-side 32-passenger models available.
“We want to build some of the best coasters in the industry,” said Adam Sandy, Zamperla’s roller coaster sales and marketing director. He introduced the company’s new Family Thrill Launch Coaster, designed with a 105-centimeter height requirement. Sandy said the ride would fill a sweet spot between kiddie rides and more aggressive models.
“We want to get kids on coasters,” Sandy said. “We think it’s going to bring a new generation of coaster riders to the table, and they’re going to love what this ride has to offer.”
The new coaster will include multiple launches and a dead-end spike. Zamperla can provide custom layouts as well as a variety of ride vehicles, such as a motorcycle with sidecars and trucks.
