Jay Shull
A former educator, since 2019, Jay has done exhibit design, construction and maintenance for Great Explorations, an AMA accredited children’s museum in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, where he lives with his wife Stefanie, and their daughter Ansley.
Pete Colangelo
Pete has led the creative team at The Florida Aquarium since 2008, responsible for design, expansion and renovation projects in addition to overseeing all new construction and attraction development. In previous positions he served as an exhibit designer for NASA’s Johnson Space Center; the Exhibit Manager for Space Center Houston, where he oversaw the development of the Kids Space Place; and as the Exhibit Director for The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex he oversaw the development of the Shuttle Launch Experience. He has also produced traveling shows for Universal Studios, Discovery Channel, Ford Motor Company and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
John Thompkins
An IT Industry 17-year veteran, a BA and MBA from the University of South Carolina and an Associates in Computer Technology from Midlands Technical College, John has worked in the public sector for the last 13 years; 10 with the County of Lexington supporting a wide array of departments.
Shane Welch
Shane Welch has been a machinist for 17 years and an exhibit fabricator for the Science Museum Oklahoma for the past six years. During his time with the Science Museum he has taken part in creative problem solving and contributed to exciting new builds designed to engage museum visitors.
