His role includes exhibition development, operational planning and event programming, as well as managing the post-Expo transition of the pavilion into a permanent structure. 

  • Bull has built a 20-year career around the development of visitor experiences within museums, including the London Transport Museum.

Sascha Triemer has been instrumental in the success of Atlantis. His career in the company developed in the culinary and F&B department until in 2020, was named Vice President of Marine & Waterpark. The appointment placed Triemer at the helm of all marine and waterpark departments, where he leads an engaged team of managers and directors to deliver extraordinary experiences.

In March 2021, Triemer successfully led the launch of the new Trident Tower in Aquaventure Waterpark, making it the largest waterpark in the world.

Carlson has served on the board of the National Association for Museum Exhibition and one of his former museums, The Tech Museum of Innovation in Silicon Valley, was awarded the highest honor an American museum can achieve: a National Medal for Museum and Library Service.

  • Brendan McGetrick is an American author, designer, and curator. His work has appeared in publications in over thirty countries, including the New York Times, Wired, the Financial Times, Art Review, Der Spiegel, Domus, and Vogue Nippon.  

  • McGetrick curated Unnamed Design, a component of the 2011 Gwangju Design Biennale, in collaboration with Ai Weiwei. The exhibition received over 200,000 visitors and was named the year’s best contemporary design show by the New York Times.

FAQs Middle East Summit 2022

What is IAAPA Middle East Summit? 

IAAPA Middle East Summit 2022 is a three-day event that includes EDUTours and networking opportunities for global attractions industry professionals. It will take place from 21-23 February 2022 in Dubai, UAE.  

Is it safe to attend the event? 

The health and safety of IAAPA Middle East Summit attendees, sponsors and the event team is our number-one priority. We are working closely with our partners from all visited venues to ensure we present an event that meets current recommended global and local health and safety requirements. IAAPA EMEA will follow the latest guidance and recommendations for large groups and meetings from UAE authorities. 

Do I need a PCR test to attend? 

Yes, in order to travel to Dubai, visitors must present a negative PCR test taken maximum 72 hours before departure. For some countries, the PCR test must be taken no more than 48 hours prior to departure. For more information, please visit https://visitdubai.com/en/coronavirus-advisory.

Once in Dubai, it's not a requirement that attendees are vaccinated or have a negative PCR test to attend a business event. For Expo 2020 Dubai, however, visitors must present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test conducted with 72 hours of your visit in order to gain access to the Expo 2020 site.

What are the current health and safety regulations in Dubai?

Will IAAPA EMEA require attendees to wear face masks during the IAAPA Middle East Summit 2022?

When is the payment deadline?

Your participation and sponsorship is not confirmed until IAAPA has received full payment. Please pay your dues latest 10 days after receipt of your invoice, but no later than 2 weeks prior to the first event day. Your seat will be secured only upon receipt of payment. Thanks for your understanding that we will need to allocate your seat to the next person on the registration list if payment is outstanding after the payment deadline. 

Are there any sponsorship opportunities?

Sponsorship opportunities are not available for this event at this point. 

Are children/spouses and/or partners allowed at the summit?

IAAPA Middle East Summit is a business event. No one under the age of 18 may take part. Access to the programme is limited to attendees only. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 regulations, participation of spouse/partner is subject to availability. An attendee fee will be charged. 

What are the terms & conditions and the refund policy?

We understand that the fast-changing circumstances related to COVID-19 regulations make a constant review of cost and travel commitments necessary for everyone. In case IAAPA decides to cancel the event, a full registration fee refund will be applied.

In case attendees decide to cancel their participation, before the cut-off date 10 February 2022 when IAAPA has paid 100% of costs to all partners of the event, IAAPA will assess cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis and ensure that cancellation fees are due in the amount of actual costs incurred only.

Please note that in the event of cancellation due to government-induced travel restrictions, attendees will be fully refunded if and only if, they can prove that their government has changed the travel regulations after their booking. 

Refunds will only be processed on applicable registration fees. IAAPA will assess additional requests due to unforeseen circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Send cancellation requests to [email protected]
