As Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Sales for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Jill and her team are responsible for marketing and selling Disney destinations, products, experiences, and signature vacations around the world.
Jill’s Walt Disney Company career began with travel trade sales in domestic and international markets for the Walt Disney World Resort. Since then, she has held a variety of site-based and global leadership roles, eventually serving as Senior Vice President, Marketing Strategy for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Under her leadership, the team developed strategies to drive attendance and occupancy for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Vacation Club.
Prior to her current role, Jill served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Asia Pacific for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, with a focus on accomplishing revenue goals and ensuring a consistent brand presence in the APAC region.
Jill is a member of the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Executive Committee, as well as the Hong Kong Disneyland Board of Directors. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Education.
Karen Irwin is President and Chief Operating Officer of Universal Studios Hollywood, overseeing all business operations for the theme park and adjacent Universal CityWalk.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Irwin was Executive Vice President of Global Merchandise and Partnership Development for Universal Parks and Resorts, leading a corporate-level team responsible for retail concept and product development, planning, compliance and licensed brand management, including the development and launch of retail programming for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. During that time, she was also responsible for Partnership Development, supporting NBCU Corporate Sponsorships and other UPR global, strategic relationships.
Ms. Irwin began her career with Universal Orlando in 1990 as part of the opening team for Universal Studios Florida. She has served in several leadership and department-head capacities including: Director of Operations and Director of Support Services for Food and Beverage, Vice President of Merchandise Operations and Vice President of Revenue Operations. She moved to Universal Parks and Resort Corporate Team as Vice President of Partnership Development in 2004.
Ms. Irwin has served on the Executive Committee for the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, Boards of Directors for the Rosen School of Hospitality at The University of Central Florida and Valencia Community College. She has also been President of Universal Orlando Volunteer Board and Chair of the Universal Workplace Giving Campaign. She currently serves on Boards for L.A. Tourism and Convention, the L.A. Sports and Entertainment Commission, Visit California and the Universal Studios Hollywood Discover a Star Foundation.
A graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the College of Journalism and Communications, Ms. Irwin also completed an Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of Business and has 34 years of management and leadership experience in the hospitality industry.

Jake Wood is the cofounder and CEO of Team Rubicon, a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and deploys military veterans to disaster zones around the world and within the United States. Since 2010, Team Rubicon has scaled to 100,000 volunteers and deployed teams to some of the worst catastrophes of the century.
As a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Wood deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan as a Scout Sniper and earned the Navy-Marine Commendation Medal. A leading veterans’ advocate, Wood has briefed President Obama on veterans’ issues, met with former Presidents Bush and Clinton on veteran transition and disaster response and testified before a Senate committee to improve mental health care services for returning veterans. He has also appeared in the major media, including MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, Al Jazeera, US News & World Report, Forbes, Fox News and penned an op-ed for The New York Times. In 2014, Crown Publishing published Wood’s book, Take Command: Lessons in Leadership.
