Speakers
Addison Goh
Addison Goh leads the teams across business development and sustainability in Singapore’s premier horticultural attraction. Addison has extensive regional experience in the tourism and hospitality industries. Before joining the Gardens, he was the Senior Director of Corporate Resources at Science Centre Singapore where he oversaw business development, advancement, human resources, finance and administration, operations, marketing and communications and industrial relations. Prior to this, he was the Director of Corporate Alliances at Hong Kong Disneyland where he spearheaded the development of joint marketing and sponsorship programmes to drive brand awareness and revenue growth. He has also served in various capacities with The Ascott Limited, Sentosa Development Corporation, City E-Solutions (A Member of the Hong Leong Group) and the Singapore Tourism Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Aalto University (formerly known as the Helsinki School of Economics).
Andreas Andersen, ICAE
Andreas Veilstrup Andersen is the CEO and President of the Liseberg Group, Sweden – operating one of Scandinavia’s most visited amusement parks. Andreas has a legal and financial background and has been working in the amusement park industry since 2000. First in several capacities at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark, later as Vice President of European operations at IAAPA EMEA in Brussels, Belgium. Andreas was the 2018 Chairman of IAAPA. He currently holds board positions at Farup Sommerland and Alsik Hotel in Denmark, as well as Momentum Leisure and Leo’s Lekland, Europe’s largest chain of FEC’s. Andreas is heading up IAAPA’s sustainability initiatives, and occasionally blogs on https://reflections.liseberg.se/.
Anthony Tan
Meridith Beaujean
Meridith Beaujean joined Marina Bay Sands in August 2022 as Executive Director of Sustainability. In this role, she leads the Sustainability department and drives strategic initiatives and projects across the integrated resort, ranging from Climate Response, Recycling & Circularity, Water Stewardship, Sustainable Food to Sustainable Events. Under her leadership, Marina Bay Sands became the largest hotel in Singapore to be certified to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Industry Criteria for Hotels and Accommodations in February 2023 and won the inaugural Singapore Hotel Sustainability Award in October 2023. ArtScience Museum also achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification in March 2024, surpassing an earlier Gold certification.
Prior to her role at Marina Bay Sands, Meridith spent 16 years with Sands China Ltd. and was part of the pre-opening team of The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, starting as a Technical Writer working behind the scenes to document policy and procedures for all of the hotel’s operational departments.
Meridith rose through the ranks, gaining valuable experience by working in different departments such as Finance, Brand Standards and Operations Excellence to build expertise in hotel standards, quality assurance and guest satisfaction. In 2018, she led and managed Sands China’s sustainability efforts in support of Las Vegas Sands’ global sustainability programme – Sands ECO360. In that role, Meridith was responsible for developing and implementing initiatives to effectively integrate sustainability into the resort’s practices, procedures, and culture.
Originally from Belgium, Meridith spent four years working in Africa with the European Union and the United Nations on health development programmes before relocating to Asia in 2005.
Meridith has a Master’s degree In International Business Management from ICHEC Brussels Management School.
Rohaya Saharom
Rohaya spent more than 30 years of career working in the environmental field. She joined the then Ministry of the Environment of Singapore after graduation, and thereafter the Singapore’s National Environment Agency when it was formed in 2002. Within the public sector, Rohaya was involved in the development and implementation of various environmental policies and programmes in areas of industrial pollution control, air & water quality monitoring, chemicals and hazardous waste and construction noise control and management. She was also very involved in developing and implementing national measures to fulfil Singapore’s obligations under various multilateral environmental agreements, working on legislations and implementing them while collaborating and partnering with counterparts in ASEAN and international organisations like UNEP, UNFCCC, GiZ, JICA. She was also part of the Singapore delegation to the UNFCCC Conference of Parties meetings from 2016 to 2019.
