Rose Figueroa Jacinto, PhD, CHFP

Dr. Rose Figueroa is a leading expert in human factors/ergonomics, safety, and biomechanics, with a strong safety and risk mitigation background. She is a Board-Certified Human Factors Professional with extensive experience analyzing complex safety issues and optimizing human performance in various industries, including amusement parks, sports, industrial workplaces, and transportation.

She is a Principal Consultant at Rimkus, the Founder & CEO of belongIN, and an Adjunct Professor at Clemson University. She also holds leadership positions as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) and Secretary/Treasurer for the Executive Council of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES). Additionally, she is an active member of ASTM committees, including ASTM F24 on Amusement Rides and Devices. As a consultant and expert, Dr. Figueroa has led over 450 projects and cases, managing teams to execute complex analyses, including accident, site, and/or product inspections. 

Dr. Figueroa has been featured in major media outlets such as NPR and NBC Latino. She has published and presented her research at human factors, biomechanics, and safety conferences and journals. Frequently invited as a guest speaker, she delivers keynote speeches and technical talks tailored to a wide range of audiences, including experts, college students, attorneys, and industry professionals.

Beyond her professional work, Dr. Figueroa is dedicated to philanthropic efforts. She led large-scale disaster relief initiatives, including coordinating logistics for 50 tons of aid to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria and mobilizing hundreds of volunteers in statewide effort
