Inspiring the Next Generation of Attractions Industry Leaders
The IAAPA Foundation exists to inspire life-changing careers in the global attractions industry by cultivating tomorrow’s leaders. By raising awareness among students of the career opportunities available to them within the industry, we can help develop pathways for them.
The Al Weber Jr. Memorial Fund
Al Weber, Jr. PhD was the founder, president, and CEO of Apex Parks Group, a member of the IAAPA Board of Directors, and a passionate supporter of education. The Al Weber Memorial Fund was established in his honor and all donations are used solely for educational purposes including scholarships.
IAAPA fosters a host of academic partnerships as a way to connect students with educational institutions. These include working with leading colleges and universities to create valuable learning opportunities, including mentoring programs and externships for collegiate faculty members.
In addition, visiting executive programs bring attractions industry leaders to campuses to connect with faculty and students, as well as consult on curriculum development to ensure relevant learning.
Educator Roundtables at various global IAAPA Expos bring experts together to share educational ideas for the attractions industry.
The IAAPA Foundation’s strong industry network opens doors for students through valuable connections and increased exposure to senior leadership.
The Foundation strives to increase awareness of the unique and diverse career paths students can take when they pursue degrees in attractions management.
