Gerald is the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Operations for Herschend Enterprises. In this role, Gerald leads the Company’s guest excellence efforts, facility capital programming, and annual operational planning. Additionally, he oversees safety operations at the property level across North America, working with each of the safety directors to assure compliance, develop Standards and share best practices.  He is also responsible for strengthening the alignment between safety, maintenance and attractions. Additionally, Gerald serves as the leader of the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management program and Inclusiveness Council.

Before this role, Gerald was General Manager of Stone Mountain Park, the state of Georgia’s most visited tourist attraction. Under his leadership, the park became a family destination offering year-round activities. In 2006, he led the successful development of Snow Mountain which became a key attraction at Stone Mountain Park. He moved to his corporate role in 2014.

He currently serves as a member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Security Committee and is the former Chair of the IAAPA North American Safety Committee. Gerald has been an active IAAPA member, attending the Annual Legislative Advocacy Days & Leadership Conference and supporting the IAAPA PAC. He is also an active member of the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA) Security subcommittee.

Gerald graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Political Science and received a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina. He is also a former board member of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.

With over 20 years of experience in Tourism & Entertainment Operations Management: Hospitality - leisure; theme, water and snow parks, and Cinemas - shopping mall, Oliver has managed large projects with retail and large-scale characteristics. He has strong skills in Leadership/People Management and proven knowledge of good practices in Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Park Operations and Business Administration, performing with a focus on Revenue Generation, Financial Results and Customer Satisfaction, leading some operations to receive the RA1000 Seal - award for Reclame Aqui. Work with strong players and brands in the market, with recognition in large cases for the growth of financial indexes, people development, customer satisfaction and implementation of a Culture of Sustainable Results. He has experience in the international market – Canada and Germany and in his undergraduate degree.

Gerson Azevedo

Gerson Azevedo has extensive experience in the areas of business development, administrative and financial management and in training and supervising teams in Brazil. Coordinates budget and strategic planning and is responsible for monitoring the annual budget and business plan of the group's companies. Among the group's companies, he founded Jump Mania, which is the first trampoline park in Brazil. At the time, he developed the manufacturing part and worked with Adibra to formalize the follow-up and designed the safety standards that currently exist in ABNT.

Today with 11 operations, plus some under construction Jump Mania across the country. The company already operate in 8 states in more than 40 shopping malls and special projects at major “Lollapalooza” events.

He has strong experience in the food and beverage, events and advertising sectors. Developed major brands JAM, Pobre Juan and Shorty’s FL. He had international experience in the fashion segment. Furthermore, Gerson founded G&G Comunicação Visual in 1995, an OOH media vehicle, a reference in the segment.

Graduated in Bachelor of Information Technology from UTESC and with a Postgraduate Degree in Maintenance Management from INPG.  More than 35 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance Management, in the areas of Plastics, Stamping, Metallurgy and Utilities. For the last 2 years he has worked in the Maintenance Management of Interparques park attractions, as Superintendent of Maintenance and Operational Safety and has been transferring his knowledge from industrial maintenance to the maintenance of entertainment equipment, always seeking more stability and safety in all attractions.

Francisco is an electronics engineer specializing in park and attraction safety. He has 45 years of experience, most of them as a specialist in maintenance, safety, advice and consultancy, for parks and attractions of all types. He is also a director of Espaço Diversão, a family entertainment center company that now operates four parks. 

Francisco participated in the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) and stands out for developing technical standards for amusement parks and attractions, where he was also coordinator of the review of standards for parks. His collaboration with IAAPA Latin America and the Caribbean is extensive, as he participated as a member of the Global Safety Committee and was president of the Safety Subcommittee for Latin America. 

To date, he participates in the Advisory Committee and is a member of the Caribbean Safety Subcommittee of IAAPA Latin America. Francisco was also recognized as one of the Industry Legends at the IAAPA Latin America and Caribbean Regional Summit held in Colombia in 2024.
