Speakers
Carlos Schiaritti
As Ride Maintenance and Quality Management Manager at Parque de la Costa – Argentina, he has training as an Electrical Engineer graduated from the National Technological University (UTN). With 30 years of professional experience in the Maintenance area, he has developed his career in the Steel Sector, Service companies and in the Entertainment industry, since 1997 in Parque de la Costa – Argentina.
He is responsible for leading the maintenance programming teams, supplier selection, failure analysis, improvement proposals, contracting of services, spare parts policy and development of new actions. In addition, he manages the computer maintenance system of Parque de la Costa and has worked as a designer in Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic Energy.
He stands out as leader of the Quality Management System team implemented in the electromechanical ride maintenance and operational areas at Parque de la Costa. Additionally, he was a member of the Latin American Security Subcommittee for the Operation and Maintenance of Amusement Parks and Family Entertainment Centers during the period 2016-2019.
David Molina
Engineer David Molina has a degree in mechanical engineering, graduated from the Technological University of Pereira, in Colombia. He is also a specialist in project management from the Technological University of Pereira.
His commitment to the safety and quality of the operation leads him to obtain certification as a CRI Certified Attractions Inspector and also Level 1 in Maintenance, both certifications by AIMS. Engineer Molina has worked for the attractions industry for the last 15 years, consolidating his experience in maintenance.
Douglas Nolli
Graduated in Computer Science from Univali in Itajaí, SC. Douglas participated in the last course of the IAAPA Institute for Attraction Managers in the City of Gamado in 2023. For the last 30 years, his career has been completely focused on Information Technology, from IT Technician to IT Manager.
His last three jobs have been in IT Management, working for a Network of Volvo Dealers in SC, as IT Manager at a Private Port in the City of Itajaí, and currently as IT Manager at Interparques Holding, which manages the Parks: FG Bigwheel, Allespark Pomerode, Roda Rico São Paulo and Roda Canela in Serra Gaúcha.
Eduardo Fernandes
With training as a Mechanical Engineer and a Postgraduate Degree in Project Management, Eduardo has more than 20 years of experience in the industrial area of large multinational and national companies. He has participated in improvement projects and management consulting in the areas of Engineering, Maintenance and Inspection of Fire Brigades (AVCB).
With 10 years of experience in the amusement park sector, he has been part of safety and park standards review committees in Brazil (ABNT). He currently works as technical manager of the Hopi Hari S/A Theme Park, where he leads the areas of Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Technical Purchasing and Technical Events.
Filipe Brandoli
Maintenance and Safety Manager of Animália Park, Brazil, graduated in control and automation engineering, graduated from the Jundiaí Polytechnic School, working in the theme parks area since 2006. Active in the maintenance and improvement process of ISO 9001 certification /2008 in the Hopi Hari and Parque da Mônica theme parks, Brazil.
Active member of the amusement park equipment standards committee of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT). With experience in the Industrial area, always improving the safety and quality conditions of equipment, with a focus on the control of machines and standards, promoting preventive measures and focusing on the continuous improvement process.
Jorge Correa Franco, ICAE
Engineer and specialist in amusement parks and attractions with an outstanding career of more than 25 years in the entertainment industry. Passionate about his field, he has led and advised various organizations in Latin America in strategic areas, remodeling, design, construction, administration, operation, maintenance, certification, commissioning and inspection of parks and attractions.
He was a member of the IAAPA advisory committee until December 31, 2023 and is currently part of the IAAPA Latin America Water Parks Task Force. Jorge holds the IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE) certification, as well as the CPI, CPO and APF certifications from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (USA).
Since 2012, he has served as a water park consultant for ACOLAP and is an active member of this organization's safety committee. He is also a volunteer on Committee F24 of ASTM International and a founding member of SEPACOL (Specialized Chamber of Water Parks of Colombia).
Currently, Jorge is the manager of the Los Tamarindos Aquatic Park of the Comfenalco compensation fund, in Antioquia, Medellín, Colombia.
Jorge Mario Rodas
Industrial Mechanical Engineer, completed a master's degree in maintenance engineering, has more than 17 years of experience in the areas of maintenance and operations in IRTRA theme parks.
Within his areas of experience are different assemblies of electromechanical attractions, collaborative analyzes with manufacturers to implement redesigns in attractions and the development of strategies for the implementation of operation programs with an emphasis on safety.
He has participated in seminars on maintenance techniques and safety in operations, programs, webinars and training organized by IAAPA. He is a member of ASTM, the Safety Subcommittee of IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean.
Jorgelina Rea
Jorgelina Rea has more than 15 years of experience in commercial and operational management in various industries. She has developed and participated in several projects based on Lean techniques, tools and processes. His versatile and multidisciplinary approach allows her to have an enriching perspective for operational management.
She is a technician in social communication and is currently pursuing a degree in business management. At the beginning of 2024, she landed and started in the entertainment industry and currently leads a FEC in the Buenos Aires region, with an area of 300 m² and 168 machines, receiving an average of 2,500 guests.
Leonardo Ossa
Leonardo Ossa, designer architect from Medellín, Colombia. He feels inspired by the opportunity to contribute socially with his knowledge and criteria, applying them to complex situations faced by people with disabilities.
Its goal is to create architectural solutions to improve accessibility and inclusion in parks, while maintaining economic viability. It focuses on the well-being and service of spaces as a design premise; In addition, it seeks to develop sensitivity towards the needs of people with disabilities, designing safe and functional spaces for all users.
Luisa Fernanda Velásquez
Electrical Engineer and with a master's degree in Business Administration; Luisa is an AIMS Certified Attraction Inspector, member of the ACOLAP safety committee, member of the IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean safety subcommittee and ASTM participant.
She has 19 years of experience in the industry, she has participated in the creation and implementation of the Parque del Café attraction maintenance program with a focus on the safety of the company's officials and assets.
In addition, she has experience in the negotiation, purchase, installation and start-up of mechanical attractions and in processes of harmonization and implementation of international standards in the Colombian sphere.
Ricardo Berumen
With more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Ricardo started in 2000 at Six Flags Mexico as a retail store operator, performing basic sales and product organization functions. During that period, he rose to leadership positions, managing ticketing and rental areas and later becoming coordinator of souvenir stores, where he was responsible for control and sales.
In 2009, he moved laterally to the operations department, where he increased his leadership and training strengths in security and crisis management issues. Currently, he continues to develop within the industry as Operations Coordinator at Hasbro City.
Sol Dunas
Sol Dunas has been working as Operational Coordinator - Mendoza Region in Neverland since 2019. At 28 years old, her academic training includes a degree in electromechanical installations and equipment and a teaching degree in Technological Education. Within the company, she leads the company's third largest park, and since its beginning, she has worked on the continuous improvement of management processes and execution indicators.
Since 2019, she has attended each Safety Month talk organized annually by IAAPA. It is an honor for her, on this occasion, to be able to participate and contribute as a speaker at such an important event.
Laura Cristina Aguilar
Laura Cristina Aguilar is in charge of training the operations staff. With 7 years of experience in the entertainment sector, she currently directs the training and certification of operations staff at Mundo Aventura park based on standardized and documented processes, thus guaranteeing the suitability of the staff and the safety of the operation.
Her experience includes the creation of specific study programs for each role, theoretical and practical exams, and field follow-ups.
Luis Ernesto Gutiérrez
With more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment sector, he entered the industry as his first and only job. Over the time he has played leadership and coordination roles in the areas of customer service, gardening, general services, parties, events, games, souvenirs and attractions, in the latter as Operations Chief.
He currently serves as Deputy Director of Operations for Mundo Aventura park, being in charge of more than 600 employees in the low season and more than 850 in the high season, with the objective of guaranteeing the general functioning and safety of the park's operation, thus providing an experience unforgettable and safe for visitors and workers.
Marco Sáez
Marco Sáez Machuca is a Food Engineer, graduated from the University of La Frontera in Temuco. He began his career in food production, working in recognized companies such as Carozzi and Breden Máster, where he specialized in farinaceous products.
After an unexpected turn in his professional career, Marco joined the entertainment industry, working in casinos such as Enjoy and Monticello in the Quality area. Since 2008, he has worked as a Food Engineer at Fantasilandia, where he is dedicated to guaranteeing food safety, contributing to the safety and satisfaction of park guests.
José Tomás Vicuña
Commercial Engineer and currently works as Deputy Operations Manager at Fantasilandia. With a solid experience of 7 years in the retail area and 12 years in the entertainment and attractions industry, José Tomás has accumulated more than 17 years leading work teams in operations. Its focus is on maximizing staff potential, developing committed and efficient professionals.
Committed to continuous improvement, José Tomás stands out for his ability to plan and execute projects, ensuring their long-term sustainability. His passion lies in implementing lasting changes that generate significant impact. He firmly believes that the sum of small actions can cause great transformations, and that example and perseverance are key to overcoming ideological barriers and bringing out the best in each member of the organization.
Romina Tapia
Romina Tapia is a Risk Prevention Engineer with a Diploma in Quality Management Systems, Risks and Audits. She currently works as Process and Protocol Control Supervisor.
With 14 years of experience in the attractions industry, she has worked in the areas of Operations, Risk Prevention and Maintenance. In addition, she is an evaluator and certifier of mechanical attraction operators.
